Every new colour client receives a consultation before their first full colour appointment. We review your current colour, previous treatments, desired shade and realistic maintenance.
If you are changing colour significantly or visiting us for the first time, we may recommend a strand test or additional conversation via WhatsApp with reference photos before confirming your booking.
A skin patch test must be completed at least 48 hours before your first colour appointment with Gloss & Grace. This is a legal and safety requirement for new clients and applies even if you have coloured your hair elsewhere before.
We will explain how to complete the patch test at home or arrange a brief visit if needed — do not skip this step, as we cannot proceed with colour without it.
Different techniques require different refresh schedules. Regrowth tints typically need attention every four to six weeks, while balayage and highlight techniques can often be refreshed every few months with a toner or partial top-up.
We advise on home care and styling at every appointment so your Berkshire colour stays fresh, healthy and true to tone between visits.
